Mountain Valley Mastiffs began breeding due to the many inquiries of what breed our dogs were. Many wanted to know where they too could get a Mastiff.  After seeing the discouragement of many because the breeders were hundreds of miles away, we decided to start breeding. We wanted others enjoy the Mastiff breed as much as we do. I had bred many of the hunting breeds in the past and decided to take on the challenge of the Mastiff breed.

 Mountain Valley Mastiffs has been breeding for approximately 7 years. We love our dogs. They are treated like our kids. If they had to live a true dogs life, they would think they were being punished. We live on 2 acres in the mountains outside Redding, CA. We’re not a puppy mill. I breed my females once a year. We are becoming members of the MCOA. We are careful of which pair we breed to keep from inner breeding or having lines bred too close together. We do have a smaller line that we have been asked to breed at times because people love the temperament, loyalty, guardian instincts, and the low maintenance of the Mastiff breed. This pair has the size of a large lab or Rottweiler. We only breed these two if we have at least 4 or more deposits for their pups.
